How soon can I get a quote on my project?
The fastest way is to fill out the online forms and view the shopping cart total. The order will be automatically saved until you decide to have your custom DVD produced. You may also send an email to: support@rexvideoproductions.com, specify the total running time of all of the video and photos that you want to see on screen, (please note that 10 photos will translate to 1 minute on screen), the number of chapter links, the number of copies, how many scenes need cutting out, how many different videotapes will you be taking from per DVD. (Plan on no more than 90 minutes per DVD for video.) We will have your estimate ready within 24 hours.

Can I order by phone instead of using the online forms?
Yes you can. A Rex associate will ask you for the same information that is in our online forms. To allow us to better serve you, please have this information available when you call. Call us M-F 9:00am-5:00pm at 978-388-3239 to initiate your order.

Can you send me an order form?
You may also receive a pdf version of our online forms via email, or regular mail specify which you prefer. Send an email to: support@rexvideoproductions.com, specify which service you would like a form for: Photos to DVD Video to DVD Film to DVD Images to CD.

Yes you can. To do this you must initiate the order by phone so we can get your order information, order number, and total amount. Call us M-F 9:00am-5:00pm at 978-388-3239 to initiate your order. (Note: checks payable to: Rex Video Productions).

Who can I contact if I make a mistake on my submitted order form?
You can email support@rexvideoproductions.com or call us at 978-388-3239, and we will do everything we can to correct the error.

Will my photos and videos be safe?
Yes, physically, and intellectually! Your media is handled with care by professionals like you, who have families and respect your privacy as they do their own and are by law bound to uphold the United States Federal copyright laws. Unless you have signed and approved a contract with us stating that we may use your media for advertising or other purposes, you are legally protected by U.S. law and protected on another level by our unwavering professionalism.

Is paying online safe?

We use PayPal to receive payments, and to ensure security and this is why: The security of your information, transactions and money is the core of PayPal's business and their top priority. Important:
All materials must be packaged securely and shipped via a trackable service,
UPS or Fedex. We will not be held responsible for any damage occurring to materials during transit. We reserve the right to refuse a project if the minimum shipping requirements are not met. Read on for the minimum shipping requirements.


IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ

Minimum Shipping requirements: Instructions for shipping and grouping prints/slides

1) All prints/slides must face in the same direction, and remain organized during shipping.

2) All prints/slides must be in good condition and free of tape, dust, lint, glue and any other foreign matter. Scanning includes basic scratch removal, dust removal and color correction. Scanning does not include digital image restoration. This can be provided for an additional charge of $7.99 per image. You may indicate that you want image restoration service for any number of your photos. Make note of this in the special instructions section of your order form. Indicate the photo numbers in need of restoration or simply write IR (Image Restoration) on the back of the photos that need it.

3) All prints must be enclosed in the envelopes that your film developer provided or in a similar envelope that is close fitting and secure. All slides must be enclosed in the box or enclosure that your film developer provided or in a similar enclosure that is close fitting and secure. Prints/slides may also be placed in a sealable zip lock plastic bag so that humidity can't contact them. Insert cardboard slabs on both sides of the plastic bag for protection. Make sure that there is absolutely no way that the photos can come loose within the shipping box.

4) All print/slide enclosures must be then placed in the center of a protected shipping envelope or box. Make sure that the contents are firmly surrounded by either bubble wrap or foam noodles, to ensure their protection. We will return all material in the same way in which it was shipped to us and in the same condition.


How much of my video footage can fit on a DVD?
120 minutes can fit, but we specify that customers plan on 90 minutes or less so that the quality remains high.

Which format is the best quality?

DVD has the highest quality in every category, followed by SVCD (Super Video CD) and VCD (Video CD). Use the comparison chart below to decide which format is best for you.

How soon can I receive my DVD, or CD?
Normally we send out completed projects 7 to 14 business days after receiving them.

Do you gift wrap?
No, at this time we do not gift wrap.

What is your guarantee?
Our custom made products will give you complete
satisfaction or you may return them for a full refund.

This is not intended to be a legal document. It sets forth our guidelines for warranty. We are flexible in its implementation and want to keep the interests of our customers foremost, to do the right thing as much as possible. Our customers needs are our number one priority and we will work closely with you to satisfy those needs. Our goal is to exceed your expectations with a positive viewing experience.

Can I get a refund?
If your Rex CD or DVD has significant play back issues, we can either replace it or refund* your purchase price, which ever you choose up to 14 days after it has been shipped. If you feel that the product has been misrepresented to you in any way, you are eligible for a
full refund. *(A non-compatible CD, DVD player, or computer, scratching, or mishandling of product does not apply to this warranty).

Can I combine scenes from various tapes to be in one DVD?
Yes, however their is a $10.00 charge for each additional tape after the first.

How long will my DVD last?
The life expectancy of a DVD disc is 50 years with no loss in quality.

Will the quality and resolution of my video improve because it's on a DVD?
A DVD does not increase the resolution of a video, but it can preserve it if produced properly. The perceived quality however can be enhanced in a variety of ways with special filters to give your video more color, contrast and smoothness.

What video formats do you accept?
For video we accept VHS, VHS-C, 8mm, Hi-8, Digital-8, Mini-DV. For images we accept .jpg, .pict, .bmp, .eps, .tiff or .psd, any print up to 8.5 x 11 inches, and transparencies up to
35 mm filmstrip, 35 mm slides, 120/220 size (6 x 9 cm) filmstrip, 4 x 5-inch film.

How do I know if my Rex DVD, VCD, SVCD will play in my player?
Check your DVD player’s manual for compatibility with DVD-R, VCD, and SVCD. DVD-R has a 95% chance of being compatible, other format compatibilities vary. Check hyperlink for a compatibility list and compatibility help . NOTE: This information is only provided as a reference. Rex Video Productions does not take responsibility for information on www.vcdhelp.com. (Please determine the playback compatibility of your computer or DVD player, we cannot issue any refunds due to compatibility issues.)

Can I play my Rex DVD,VCD,SVCD on my computer?
For computer viewing, the Rex DVD requires a Pentium II PC, 266Mhz or higher, Windows98/Me/NT/2000/XP, DVD— ROM drive, 64MB RAM, DVD playback software, 16-bit color: 800x600 or a Macintosh running OS 9.0.4 or higher, with a generation 3 DVD—ROM drive, 64MB RAM, DVD playback software. To view a VCD, SVCD on your computer you'll need a Pentium II PC, 166Mhz or higher, Windows98/Me.

What comes with my order?
All DVD, SVCD and VCD orders come with a standard DVD case with your specified title printed on your disc and cover at no additional charge. All CD orders come with a standard jewel case with your specified title printed on your disc and cover at no additional charge. All VHS orders come with a standard black VHS half window case with your specified title printed on the video cassette and case at no additional charge. For an additional $9.99, you can order a custom case with your favorite photograph on the cover, see the "optional" section of our online forms.
